Bisevo is a very small island (5.8 sq. kilometres) about five kilometres south west from island of Vis. It is most famous for its Blue Grotto, or Modra Spilja which is a rare natural phenomenon accessible only by a small boat.
The inside of the grotto and the sea in it have an indescribable silvery-blue colour. The sunrays which penetrate through a hole under the surface and reflect from the bottom of the grotto creating amazing light effects.
